But the progress bar wasn't moving so I exited it both times. The first 2 tries, it was attempting to install a Microsoft C++ thing and some other Windows installer thing.

You will need to exit HDS and access the Immobilizer Setup Tool-which is accessible in i-HDS. In the guide it says to go to R/C ENG STARTER, the menu opens but when you select REGISTER REMOTE CONTROL ENGINE STARTER UNIT, it says that this option has been deleted. The installation guide available on Honda estore uses a very old version of HDS. I was trying to add the remotes for the remote starter on a 2014 Acura RDX AWD (non tech model).
